UJA Genesis and Israel Engagement are excited to announce Israel in Focus: A High School Community Program. In celebration of UJA’s 52nd annual Walk with Israel, join this virtual program to gain a deeper understanding of how Israel connects to the Jewish community in Toronto, and obtain your community service hours through hands-on volunteer opportunities and fundraising for our partner cities in Israel.
Participants in this program must currently be in high school, with availability to commit to the program, interest in exploring Israel’s contemporary landscape, and a willingness to volunteer for the community.
Participants will receive at least 18 community service hours for their full participation in this program.
Additional program highlights include engaging with UJA’s ShinShinim (Israeli teenagers) and Diller Teen Fellows Alumni, hearing from guest speakers, taking part in community-wide events, and most importantly, contributing to your community in a meaningful way.
*Please note that participation in this program will abide by public health guidelines to stop the spread of COVID-19.
