Genesis aims to enhance Toronto’s Jewish community by nurturing emerging Jewish non-profit
initiatives, providing career mentorship to young adults and supporting innovation. Drawing
upon our community, we aim to accomplish these goals.
One on one mentorship 4-month One-on-One Mentorship program that pairs 60 top business leaders, thought leaders, professionals and philanthropists in the GTA with 60 Jewish young professionals seeking role models and mentorship in their personal, professional and communal life. The program will run quarterly, each cohort catering to a specific industry.
Peer-to-Peer Mentorship In order to have a broader reach and facilitate peer-to-peer mentorship, Genesis will offer its members the opportunity to join a digital platform that will encourage and facilitate professional networking opportunities between them.
In order to offer opportunities to a broader U40 population, Genesis offers monthly group mentoring opportunities. These monthly in-person and online group mentorship meetings will touch on topics such as Career development, Innovation, Leadership and living Jewishly. Given in groups of 15 Genesis members.
The Speaker series aims at inspiring our members professionally and Jewishly by showcasing high caliber speakers representing different industries. Speakers also touch on the importance of community and philanthropy in their lives. Our past speakers include Ben Zifkin, Michael Katchen, Rena Nickerson, Harley Finkelstein, Jordan Banks, Dave Wilkin, Dani Reiss, Paul Alofs, Mark Keilburger, Johann Olav Koss, and Charles Bronfman.
